NFC Guide

Every card we ship is a sturdy plastic NFC card that works just like the official amiibo figure or card - tap it and the character shows up in your game. Here's how to scan on each system.

Where's the NFC touchpoint?

Nintendo Switch & Switch 2

Hold the card over the right Joy-Con analog stick. That's the NFC touchpoint.

Switch Lite

Same thing - the touchpoint is built into the right analog stick.

Wii U

Hold the card over the NFC touchpoint on the lower-left of the GamePad.

New Nintendo 3DS

The touchpoint is the lower screen.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

  1. Head to Resident Services and use the Nook Stop terminal
  2. Select Invite amiibo camper and hold your card to the right stick
  3. The villager visits your campsite - invite them and craft whatever they request
  4. After a few visits (usually three), they'll agree to move in for good
  5. Or take them to Photopia on Harv's Island for photoshoots, or invite them for coffee at The Roost

The Legend of Zelda

  1. Enable amiibo functionality in your game's settings first
  2. Use the amiibo rune/ability and hold the card over the right stick
  3. Rewards drop - weapons, armor pieces, materials, or Epona herself
